Constitution high school has been a high school since 2006 -that's 3 years-i think.. and within those three years there is a
well known event that occurs the last quarter of every year for the freshmen class - The Great Slavery Debate! A debate where the different classes are split up into abolitionists and pro-slavers. I myself was involved in this event. I can only hope that this article provides an outlook on my opinion, and my opinion(as well as half the freshmen class) is that this debate is a humongous, idiotic, waste of time.
You face many things when your involved in this debate, a lot of arguments, pointless yelling, verbal abuse, and violence, lots and lots of random violence. What's the whole point of debating over something that already happened over 100 years
ago? -_- no really I thought you knew- because I certainly don't and the odd part is, even though everyone is all heated up
and ready to debate it's still utterly stupid and takes away from your actual school work. Honestly you don't even need to know
how to debate, all you need is a big mouth, an attitude, and a strong punch. But because this is a yearly event only for the
freshmen class the upperclassmen have nothing to do with it. As a matter of fact the upperclassmen have the pleasure of
watching the freshmen class beat the crap out of each other over the debate -( too many heated up heads perhaps?) They
watch them beat the crap out of each other like they were a movie on T.V. Pass the popcorn please?
